Breast Augmentation with Fat – The surgery step by step
Step 1: Markings
Before the surgery, the patient is marked while standing – areas where the fat will be extracted and areas where the fat will be injected in the breast.
STEP 2: Anesthesia
General anaesthesia is administered by inserting a flexible breathing tube into the patient.
Step 3 – Preparation
The patient’s skin is disinfected and the blue wraps that act as a barrier between the exterior environment and the surgical spot area are placed.
Step 4 – Fat harvesting
Fat aspiration through liposuction in previously defined areas
Step 5 – Fat purification
Process the fat to remove impurities and prepare the fat cells for transfer to small syringes.
Step 6 – Injection of fat
The fat is injected into strategic points of the breasts to achieve a larger volume and the desired shape.
Step 7 – Points of liposuction
The small liposuction incisions are closed with tiny stitches.
Step 8 – Waking up the patient
The patient is slowly woken up by the anaesthesiologist.

We like to share everything about fat transfer breast augmentation recovery so you know exactly what to expect – how you will feel on the first days and a few weeks following surgery, and how to take care of yourself. Simple things will make the difference. Bear in mind that each person is different and can react differently. Most patients performing natural breast augmentation, experience mild to moderate pain, swelling and bruising during the first week which usually diminishes in two weeks. You should always wear your bra and compression garments for 4 weeks.

Immediately after surgery

When you are discharged, a friend or a family member must pick you up at the clinic and take you home, you are not allowed to drive.
First 3 days

Most patients can resume simple activities in 2 to 3 days (walking, cooking). After the third day, you can start the lymphatic drainage if it has been recommended by the doctor.
After 1 week
You can resume most activities – driving, cooking, easy cleaning and other activities that do not require much effort.
After 2 weeks
You can return to work, resume the gym with light activities, gradually increasing the intensity. You can also resume breast sexual activities and go to the beach using sun protection.
After 4 weeks
You can get back to the life you had prior to surgery, perform intense physical activities and sleep facing down.
After 3 months
The final outcome of a breast augmentation with fat is expected 3 months after the surgery. During this time, the body reabsorbs some fat, about 30%, and the rest (the healthier fat) will survive over time. Please note, each body reacts differently and may reabsorb more fat than expected. In some cases, a second fat grafting session may be required to achieve optimal results.
